Perhaps the holiday decor is down and your yard is a bit, well let’s just say blah? Weather is going to be great this weekend for you to get out and:
Prune roses and fruit trees-not citrus. By the way it DOES NOT hurt citrus to stay on the tree after ripening. In fact they will store better there than if picked. It WILL NOT affect your production of new fruit this coming spring if there is still fruit left on the tree. Now if you want to pick them off for other reasons (rats?) by all means!
How bout a little color? Winter hardy annuals like snaps and pansies look great now. Perennials or blooming shrubs like daisy, emu, or penstemmon can liven things up a bit!
Made a resolution to eat healthier? Plant some winter vegetables. They love the cool weather-lettuce, chard, kale, celery……
Well there are just a few things that can get you outside this weekend, and i’m sure you vowed to get more exercise and lose weight? You won’t do that sitting on the couch eating chips and watching football!
