August can be a tough time of year to get excited about much in the landscape. It can also be a tough time to find much excitement in the nursery or garden center to spruce things up for a few weeks. We only have a little over a month and the fall/winter color selections will start rolling out ( our first geranium cuttings will arrive next week). So what can you do right now that can give you some value and impact. Try mixing sweet potato vine with lantana as in this picture or gazania or katie ruellia or all 3. The pots will look great, last the rest of summer, and beyond if you’d like and when the new geraniums come out you can replant these in a flower bed or landscape if you want to keep them going! Have A Great Weekend and Good Growin’.
