We have seen and had lots of calls about lawns that look much like this one. This summer with a very cool start and a very hot end has been extra tough on lawns, especially those that were over seeded with winter rye grass and or have some shade. We are running a trial with Evergreen Turf on a new hybrid Bermuda grass called Tif Grand. It is supposed to be much more shade tolerant (60-70% shade) than other Bermudagrasses. The picture today is the before pic showing what has happened after the rye grass died. In a day or so we’ll post the picture of the newly installed sod and then we’ll mark and post the progress over the next few months. Hopefully we’ll have a solution by next Spring for your shady areas!! If you have any concerns about any part of your lawn or landscape please call us. We will do a FREE on site evaluation of your landscape and come up with a plan to make your lawn and garden look great for the upcoming fall and winter season!!
